Im getting tt2s from work 60% off and tires i heard with 17x10s you need 5.5in backspacing, i ideally want 17s all around and 275-40-17 tires on back maybe slightly bigger and 245-40 or 50 17s 0n front, basically i want the biggest tire on the back without it sticky out, please help with any advice pics or whatever i have the money and will put them on as soon as i figure this out. i will reward you all with pics. oh and off the subject i got a t-56! pics please

put 17x10 (6 in)rears and 17x8(4 in) front. Gives a very nice stance.

if you do the front in 8 wide , get them with a 4.75 bs if their custom or 4.5 is what most people get . But if i had to do it over , id get 5 inches of bs on my 8 inch wheels for the front since the vette brakes pushed the rims out .

I wonder if you could go 6.25 on the back rims , i know blackburn went with 6.75 but he removed the bumpstops. Maybe he will chime in on if 6.25 with a 10 will work with no mods or anythign .

I wish i worked at a custom wheel place, then it would be so easy to see what works .

I have 17x9 in front and rear(the rear has 285/40-17s).... both have 4.5" backspacing... I am switching to 18x10s in the rear with 5.5" backspacing and 295/35-18s and 18x9s in the front with 4.5" backspacing and 275/35-18s

A 5.5" backspacing on a 10" wide wheel will be perfect..

xlr8torz28, that doesnt look perfect , it sticks out too much in the rear . I think a 5.5 is great on a 9.5 wheel . I really like how the back looks , but the front i really think 5 inches bs on an 8inch rim in the front is perfect if you do c5 brakes. But if no go 4.5

this is with a 9.5 rim with 5.5 i think it looks better than the 4.5 . It fits under the car totally and looks great and doesnt rub with 275s , i may try 285 or 295 next time.

I have seen a set of TT2s on Ebay. There is a new dealer with them at good prices. He has 17x8" with 4.75 BS and 17x9.5" in 5" BS and 6.5" BS.

I think the 8" rims up front will work - which BS would work on the rears with the 9.5" width?

Also - I know I have posted alot on this subject - it is very hard to make a choice since there are very few options that really work without spacers. The snypers are no longer available - or I would have went with those. I am not sure I like anything else enough to jump on them - except the boyds - tt2 type wheel.

The factory back spacing on the 16x8 wheels on the front, was a zero offset which means 4" bs

I have also heard that the disc brake rear ends are a little wider than the drum rears... I think like 1/4" but not sure.... It pushed my wheels out a little... And the picture doesnt show acurate because I put lowering springs on and havent bought an adjustable panhard bar yet... That right side is about 1/4 out further than the driver side...
