I'm about to order a black pair of these 17s for the front of my '84 T/A, I'll be putting a dark blue pinstripe around the outer edges kind of like Bart Wheels does, but they use purple on their black wheels. The old American Racing 767s did red and blue together, IIRC.

They are not bad but i think Cragar D-s are alot better
Re: 17x9 cragar's only $59.95 ea.
I definitely dont like the black one's, they give the appearance of an ugly spare. I dont mind the chrome but I dont like the style as a whole and would look somewhere else. You get what you pay for in wheels. I personally love Cragar brand wheels but go with a different style. They are still budget friendly and can really add muscle to your car. My favorite is the two piece original super sport wheel. Design looks great on old school cars as well as the newer generation.

You do realize that those wheels are going to weigh 36 or 37lbs each - not counting a tire, which puts a rediculous amount of spinning mass on a car (truck is another story).

So what? For a freeway cruiser, weight isn't that big a deal. Besides, weigh one of these with a 275/40, then weigh a 295/50 on a steel 15x8 or a cast 15x10. These aren't too bad.

Also, these $95 beauties will survive potholes better than aluminum. Ever slid a cast wheel into a curb? In 5 minutes you have a flat. Steel won't break, it'll just bend, so you can slowly drive to some place safe to change on the spare.

I just ordered one, for test-fitting, especially on the front.

The 9" with zero-offset fits the rear very well, and front well enough, with normal brakes (no big rotor upgrade) But I want some aluminum wheels so I sent it back, after trying it on a friend's car. He was looking at the same thing from Black Rock for $5 less per wheel.

Not my car, 1o80b's. And Summit has identical-looking versions made by Black Rock Wheel for $20 less per set. Finding the '02 SS wheels at any price is proving impossible, so I'm back to considering these. I'm not liking driving around with 205/70R14s on the front, they make me feel concerned about trying any cornering whatsoever, and to me these cars are all about the cornering potential. It's what sets them apart from, and way above, the drag-race ponies with the blue ovals glued on them.

Re: 17x9 cragar's only $59.95 ea.
If you had the chrome ones without the center cap used the longer wheel studs with an open type lug and get the stance right meaning tucked up in there good that wheel would actually look fairly sharp. Otherwise no..
Steel wheels are heavy no way they are only 20 lbs.
2 15x8 draglites with caps in box was 38 lbs if that helps
Unless you spend a ton of money I wouldnt worry about it youll probably never notice. I went from 8 in heavy rallyes front and rear to 8s and 5s (weld) and cant really feel the difference other than the car doesnt handle for crap anymore. Price we pay to look cool and drop a tenth or so.
BTW Welds suck try measuring the runout on them sometime.

And I agree with cruisenart, Those wheels probably weigh closer to 30lbs.
