I've seen pics here and there, but who makes them? I don't want the obtrusive 4" on the car.

im sure theres tons of pics on here....I dislike cowls for the fact they usually obstruct view especially on steep hills.

I had a 3" Harwood on my 83. I love the look. Follows the factory lines very well.
Here is the one I had:

There's no hills on a race track I need it for clearance.

Thanks TADan for the link. That's what I want.

I have the Harwood 3" and I love it. The fit wasn't as good as it should've been, but it surprised me on how light it is.

I feel the same way about not wanting a 4". To my knowledge, American Sports Car Design, and Harwood both make littler cowls for birds. The ASCD doesn't follow the lines as well, and is only 2" so it might not fit your needs, but it certainly doesn't look bad. The Hardwood is probably your best bet.

The one, or one very similar to the ASCD, can be found at http://www.usbody.com/, they call it the Indy Cowl. Best of luck, let us know which one you pick, because I'm, hopefully, going to be looking for one myself soon.

I like the one from US Body Source, but I don't want a pin on and I'm not spending that kind of money for the bolt on. Harwood here I come.

Hehe... yah, i usually sit with the seat reclined a little, the steering wheel down low, and the seat all the way back... steep hills = me sitting up real fast so i can see

I also have the harwood 3" and I love it. I can't see the front right corner of my car with it but its not that big a deal. Mine also didn't fit the greastest, I still need to mess with it a little but it flows very well.

I think I'm gonna make a shaker hood work. Wont be too hard with a carbed motor.
