I see nothing wrong with what he is doing if he wants to his car that he likes better then i say he should do it. Id cut that car up for parts for my rs if it was mine so I see nothing wrong with what he wants to do.

Your right, he can do what he wants, and we are all stating our opinion, but it is a dumb idea to take a car that looks perfect and start chopping it up. There are plenty of busted up cars in junkyards to use for parts!

And how often do you find the parts you need in mint condition in a busted up junkyard car? almost never. Just seeing that the t-top car needed a paintjob shouldn't mean it's a POS. It turns out he has a 305 in it, but if it had a kick-*** engine and was about to be repainted, I think swapping interiors and taillights then selling the hardtop with a more worn interior is a perfectly sane and reasonable thing to do. I don't think many of you really read too much of what he wrote and jumped the gun on calling this guy a moron.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say its your cars you do what you want. If it were me I would definately have made the same choice you ended up making (keep the new one), but its not really my place to tell anyone else what to do with their cars. I remember when I wanted to heavily mod my old B4C and everyone was screaming bloody murder at me. Your cars, you do what you want.
