Cowl or the whole hood?

Cowl or the whole hood?


I want a cowl hood for my newly painted firebird.Should i get the whole hood or just the "cowl"and have it painted and put on professionaly.My friend worx at a body shop and he can get it painted for me for cheap.So which one should i get?

Get the whole hood. I saw a third gen with just the cowl at lunch and it looked stupid.

I say get the whole hood, you can get them in either metal or fiberglass, can't remember who makes the metal ones, but search the appearance and body/interior boards for metal cowl and you'll find it

My car has the stock hood with the cowl added on. It didn't look so bad 15 years ago when it was put on, but it's looking pretty bad now. I'd rather have the full hood.
