Just remember, its not how much u can afford.
Its how creative and ingenious you can be and still keep the project moving forward..
Long as it keeps moving forward, you get closer to the lite at the end of the tunnel :-)

Just keep it in good condition till you can do it right, a bunch of temp fixes will only make things worse when you're ready to do it right.
Man i'd kill for a bacon extreme burger right now, stupid JITB not being in FL
*pokes your bubble* sorry the 91+ bumper is no different.

That must be flat black. Why didn't you try the glossy black. It would'ev looked decent.
I painted my bumper glossy black and it looked pretty good. No one could've guessed that it was rattlecan.
If you take your time with it, and try getting even coats on, it will look good.
PS You know you cold've bought a compressor and a decent painting gun for less than 100 bucks. At sears
That way you could'ev saved some money for the real paint and paint it. 200 paint job that you do yourself.
Than later on once you gather some money, do the prep work and get the car ready and you'll have a masterfull free paint job.
Trust me the more you paint the better you get. I could call myself a rattlecan king, but thats no title to brag about.

So what's with the user name?
I've done that before. A couple buddies of mine did that to his 85 TA years ago. Looked pretty good too. We spent some time sanding and priming and even cleared it. Would've looked real nice if we wet sanded more...

Let me tell ya somethign about a rattlecan paint job.. Paint is paint.. doesn't really matter HOW you get it on the car.. it's all in the finish work.. most of the GOOD paint jobs still need to be wet sanded when done. Here is what I had to spray-bomb not too long ago.
Once the paint was put on in good even coats, I jst spent some time with some wet sanding paper and later, I buffer.. and my neighbor could not tell the difference.

Wet Sanding
Let me show you what you can do with a rattle can and some elbow grease.. these are before and after shots of my TA.. 90% of this side is rattle can work due to previous owner's REALLY bad paint skills.. left in sander scratches, fisheyes, uugh.. it was horrible..
here's the before shot...
And here's what you can end up with if you get a buffer and wetsand with 1500 grit paper. I've been using a small bottle of the 3M rubbing/buffing compound.
Let me know if you want some further guidance.

wow amazing, i plan to go out and eventually buy a nice spray gun and compressor but for now money's tight. i have to save up for a new transmission and exhaust because i cant drive with out either. (wont pass emissions thatys why exhaust). but after that im going to work on mostly the engine, dont want to spend to much money on the outside making it look mean when it cant beat anything.

Hi
The 91-92 Gfx looks great. If I were you I would get an 87 88 89 style spoiler with the third brake light and a hood with the louvers/fins on it. If you get a 91 92 style hood keep in mind that on the twin cowls there is a bit of a dip at the back and when it rains water will just sit in there. After a while it will rust and it looks like ****. I love what you did to the nose [filling in emblem spot] it looks really good. By the way you painted over your side reflector. I would either take it out and fill it in like what you did to your nose or get a new one because a painted over one just screams cheap crapy paint job because they didn't tape over it.
Good luck with your ride

Get a job at discount tire, they start you out at around 13 bucks an hour. Well, at least here in Denver they do!
Other than that, make sure you have friends in high places, or perfect your bj skills.
