'Bird hood decals

I know that in 85 and I think 86 you could get a full size hood bird decal on the trans am's. I know a lot of people don't like them but I was wondering how it would look on a power bulge hood. I know they were designed for the flat hoods so I was wondering if the bulge would not flow with the lines of the decal. On the 80-81 decals, the "flame" coming out of the birds mouth would be on that part. Is there anyway to achieve something similar on a third gen hood with a third gen style bird?? From the looks of it, the wing might have to be applied over the bulge and that wouldn't look too good. Any thoughts would be great.

Yah, I'm aware of the "venecian" bird decal...I'm talking about the "Screaming Chicken" hood decal. Basically in '85 it looked like the sail panel decal but blown up to fit the hood. I was just wondering what it would look like on a power bulge hood. it's just a thought. I have an 82 and I have been debating on the vencian decal eventhough they weren't stock till '83.

my dad hand painted one of those on his early mid '70's Trans Am. dont remember what year it was, but he took pictures of the process it was so cool. (this was back in the 70's when he did this)

he took a bunch of tracing paper and went over to his neighbor's house who had a T/A with factory hood decal, taped all the peices together and traced out all the lines for the bird. then he stuck a bunch of carbon paper under it and re-traced those lines onto HIS hood, leaving an extremely thin line of carbon on the hood. he used a 2 tone paint scheme on the decal, the inner "feather" set was a lighter blue i believe and the outer ones and the flame in the birds mouth were a darker blue....this was on a white T/A....it was SOOO cool i am gonna try to scan those pictures sometime and show you guys him HAND PAINTING a hood decal...it turned out wicked got a HUGE poster size picture of it in my room back at home along with a blown up picture of his Iroc and his '69 Z28, all of which he sold, sadly...
