zr1's on the SportCoupe?

anyone think it would look ok? 17x9.5's up front and 17x11's out back. 275/40/17 and 315/35/17's is that the sizes i'd be running. here is a pic of the car right now:

I got 11". There are not too many of us out there, but I think it is cool. Looks mean. You def can't drop the car down though. I am gonna be running pro-kit. I have sportlines in there now and there is no tranny or engine and the rear quarter gap barely fits my forarm.

I am still considering going with the Danko wide body panles. And then cutting the rear quarters, to gain all that room and then lower the car more so that the tops of the wheels are slightly tucked. But I dunno if I wanna deal with fiber glass body panels. I think i might just roll the lip and run 315s instead of these 335s.

my lips are already rolled cause of the 295/50/16's i'm running on the irocs. i've already beat the crap out of the inner fender well too but i don't mind if i have to bang more. there is a guy with a supercharged vert on here with them, that's where i got the idea. he's running a 315/35/17 on his 17x11's and hes got a 50mm offset and is running a 1.25" adapter. that's what i'll be running if i do this. it tucked them right under the lip.

car has v6 springs all the way around with 1 coil cut off each to achieve that stance in the picture above.

yep, bigger, and i'm redoin the exhaust with some flow 40 series or so instead of the crappy knockoffs i got under there now, so it'll be louder too. wider wheels AND louder exhaust.

actually, i lowered the whole car by one coil on the stock v6 springs, but those 295/50/16's are right at 27.7" tall.

also, i believe that the camera was actually on the ground inorder to get that picture. it was the only way for it to pick up on the exhaust, rear end stud girdle, lca relocation brackets and big tires.

I have 335 series on mine. They stick out a bit right now, but really not that bad. I think I am going to go with 315s instead, and then i am going to shave my spacers a bit. so that they tuck in. Whatever you do, I highly agree, bigger is better with tires. Even if it is not needed, nothing makes a var look more bad *** than massive meat under the rear. I think the 335s make a bigger visual impact than my lambo doors.

"wider wheels AND louder exhaust." ain't that the true southern boy way?

I always like that wide rear tire look.

It looks sweet as is, but 11" back there would be awesome. The zr1s don't look to bad. However I the type that like a deep dish rim.

One thing i considered on my camaro was the factory GTA rims and the back ones widen to 10"

good luck deciding

Here is one of the rear tire. I think it looks awsome. Most people hate it. With 315s it will not stick out too bad. All the people I talk to around here, love the look. Online, not so much. Oh well, to each his own.

ps-It will look differnt once the GFX are on and so forth.

see, your not having so much of a problem with the tire sticking out, as you are with the whole rim sticking like 1/2" outside the fender.

That is just the angle of the shot. If you look down from the flare, there is ust tire bulge poking out.

I have a pic but it is too dark. It is a strange thing.....trying to decided where the body is, since it curves in all the way down. i am gonna masage more inthere, and then machine the spacers down till it gets up in there. But for now I gotta do some work with the 383 that just cme in the mail

Ok here is the best lit pic I have of the rims getting mocked on there with no tires on them. Here you can see that the the rim really isn't past the lip. Only differnce is that this shot is taken with no rotor on the hub. (1/4") difference. That amount machined off and 315, they would really start to fit in there.

Hope you see what i meen.

Image removed- Please check the rules. Thanks.
