hey i got a 87 maro its red now but is fadeing fast. i need to get the paint done. i dont know what color to go. i was thinking a dark blue or black. but i want to see some maros with a purple so if you know n e body with a purple maro and has a pic. let me see

I say a nice dark metallic blue with lots of flakes in it,but do it right,take out the engine and clean out the engine bay and paint it black,also black on the under side of the hood.Black would be nice too,does it have t-tops???

it dose have t-tops and i was thinking a metallic blue with loads of flakes. its red now with a off set strip. im geting a new hood and a new 350

 

I just got mine repainted a metallic navy blue (used on the 98 hevy pickups) and it looks pretty good, but it's a pain to paint. It looks like clear with blue flake when you put it on, but I like the final results. It might've been better with some more flake in it, but I like it. I'll post pics when I get them, took some with a digital camera but they turned out crappy, bad resolution. I'm thinkin of putting on a goodmark cowl with silver heritage stripes or silver ghost flames in a few years, but for now she's the solid blue

 

oh yeah, and deffinately do the engine bay black, mine's still white, but I'm gonna get it repainted when I do an engine swap. I got the hood's underside painted the same blue color, but it looks good.
