The tips are straight. I suppose it's the angle of the car that throws it off.

I'm pretty partial to mine. I have no idea what they are. I need to crawl under the car and see what cat back was installed by the previous owner. If I remember correctly when I bought it I spotted borla sticker. All I know is it sounds AWESOME.

I think if you're lookin for more chrome, change the door handles to chrome ones. I think it would look pretty tight and they run for about $10 each on eBay. It would probably be a B*tch to change them (I've never done it before), but if you're looking for somethin that will accent your exhaust and rims, I'd do it.

My new Texas Speed & Performance Rumbler. I was iffy about the TSP sound at first, but it has broken in pretty nice!

I need to take a pic of it installed and show the tips. It was a 4th gen kit, and anything but a simple tweak to fit. It cost more to have it tweaked and installed, than the system did itself.

On the idea of leveling LT1 tips...

Level isn't what you want...It might be why the tips turn out looking crooked.

What you want, is PARALLEL to the bumper cover.

No matter how crooked the car is to ground level, they'll be straight to the car.

Well, the previous just had it installed, so it was still breaking in.

At first, I wasn't real keen on the sound, but after as month of breaking in (a new cat was installed too), it sounds pretty sweet.

I get compliments on it.

I'll try to get video of it, for the audio, but I gotta borrow a video camera to do it. Only guy I know that has on I could borrow, lives in B.F.E.!

Here is a pic of mine. Just got them installed last weekend. They are custom made from stainless steel and a buddy of mine polished them. I think I drove the guy at the muffler shop crazy when they installed them. They are about as close to straight as you can get. lets see some exhaust tips-new-tips.jpg

I also just updated my cardomain page if you want to see more pictures.

I have the ones on my car that came with the hooker catback, somedays I love them and other days I hate them. I am thinking about taking the tips off and putting turndowns on it tucked up under the bumper.

I finally went and took some pics of my 4th gen, Texas Speed & Performance cat back w/tips. The passenger side tip is ALMOST 1/4" in more than the driver's side. I'm picky. Gonna take care of that soon.

well i think i decided to stick with the turn downs. i wanted the lt1 tips at one time but i really dont care for them too much anymore.

i found this car on the power tour. i liked how he had the exhaust but if i did it the pipes would be chromed or polished up.

I guess you could consider mine a bullet muffler, but with dual tips.

Now, on the 92 RS I had years ago, I didn't even have a muffler. Just over the axle, and straight out on the passenger side. I just cut the stock pipe above the axle, then had a shop bend a pipe and run it to the rear.

You can just make out the tip on the right.

Here are my tips. I guess it doesnt help much that they arnt on the car yet. Being installed on Sunday. I think they'll look pretty nice though. I'm thinking about eventually swapping the tips out for ones with the rolled in tips. My friend has them on his car. I think they're Magnaflow. I think it makes for a more finished look.

Can't complain though, I got my entire exhaust used for 450 canadian. Hooker 2055s into 3" mandrel bent, cat replaced with resonator, into flowmaster catback. Can someone help me ID my muffler. I'm trying to figure out which series it is. Thanks

id say its an 80 series. from my understanding the 3" inlet and dual 2 1/2 inch outlet is the 80 series. the 40 series is the 3" inlet and single outlet. thats how i understand it i may be wrong though.

Whiteknight, thats an 80 series. I have the same muffler on my car now.

HeavyChevy, Yah thats exactly what I want for my car. I'm going to paint it black as well to give it that hidden effect once it's tucked up. I'll be posting pics once I get the car back from the engine shop.

I have a single exit on my car right now.. I cut the pipe behind the axle after it makes the bend toward the drivers side and welded in an exhaust cutout. I just have a cheap-o cherry bomb muffler welded onto the cutout, and the pipe exits right behind the rear tire. I painted it flat black, so you really don't even notice it unless you're looking for it. It sounds really good with the cutout closed, but when you flip the switch inside and that cutout opens up, man!!! it is wicked!

EDIT: here are a couple pics.. After looking at the second one, I think I'm going to cut the pipe back a bit, weld on a turn down tip and tuck it behind the GFX.

My friend has different rolled tips than the ones stephen has. Maybe they arnt magnaflow, I thought they were though. They're long tube tips, not short ones, and they have the company logo etched into the top of the pipe so you can see it when you stand behind the car and look down at the tips.

I Photoshopped that on my car, from a pic I took of a 4th gen in my apt complex, so I could control the size results matching.

Do you know where to get that bumper or does it has to be custom made?

This was just an idea I came up with. So, I took pics of my GTA, and a 4th gen in my apt complex, then Photoshopped them together. The 4th gen was a light silver color, so I had to morph it to black. I morphed my stock rear wing to black to match. I'll Photoshop a 4th gen spoiler on there later.

Then, do the full 4 nostril WS6 hood. I don't like the 2 nostrils ones that are available. I know a shop in Rockdale, who makes WS6 hoods for full size trucks, and for the right price, I'm pretty sure they will custom make a one-off one for a 3rd gen.

Here's the Tahoe I used to have. It's the same pic on their website.
