want to polish radiator can I clear coat it?

I have my alumunuim radiator polished and want to keep it shiny. Can I clear coat it or will the heat just turn the clear coat yellow? I also have a intercooler and my HSR intake. I don't want to polish everything and in 6 months and 3000 miles later have it all tarnished. Clear coat I think will work but not sure if it will stay especialy on the radiator it gets pretty hot. Any advice??

I think it should hold, your radiator doesn't get much hotter than 200* F, got any pics?

Maybe try some of the clear coating that's supposed to go on aluminum wheels. I think its tougher than regular body paint.

zoopseal is the answer your looking for, not clear coating.

search for it on these forums, many people have used it.. and its excellent stuff!! then search summitracing, etc to purchase it.

good luck!

yea, paint sticks better to scratched up surfaces (which is why you sand before you paint). the smoother the surface the harder it is for the paint to stick good.
