I am looking for paint schemes(factory), i found a maroon 86 and was curios if this would have the silver ground effects?

I know the irocs were all one color, but were the z's that year still two-tone?

I tried looking for pics, but could not find what i was looking for, anyone have any pics of an 86 with maroon/silver paint combos?

Yes most if not all of the 85-87 Z28's were two-tone. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a Z28 of those years in maroon. Sorry I can't be more of a help.

 

It may or may not be maroon, but i know it is a deeper darker red than normal.

well my 86 sc was dark red metallic (maroon), and Ive seen plenty of IROCS that were maroon...I can only assume there were z's that were as well

 

All Z28s up to 1987 came 2 tone. The GFX on the maroon Z came in silver only. The other GFX colors of dark grey and gold were not available on the maroon car (to my knowlegde)

 

scottmoyer, youre the man when it comes to that stuff. i got an 86 z and it came in two tones. do you know a place where i can check color production numbers. i wanna see how many 82-92 camaros (all third gen maros) came in gunmetal with the dark grey gfx. ive only seen one to this day and it was another board member. he had also only seen one other and it was crushed. besides the point, do you have a site where i can check this stuff out. i wanna know how rare my color combo is.

red with dark grey gfx. i guess they did that afterwards?
