yes i know it's a Chevrolet...it's different, i dont want my car looking like every other camaro that puts those clear corners on. heck, i even thought about NOT buying clear corners just so it isn't like every other one.

i think it'll look sweet when it's done, the photochop doesn't make it look as good as i feel it will turn out

y'all take no risks. dare to be different man

some of you do those crazy tail light mods, it's VERY different, but you know what, i like it.

i happen to think that the decals will look real nice and close my theme of the red bowties on my blue car

When i was at the car show a while back i noticed the SSR truck had side markers with a bowtie molded into the lense. It didnt stand out too much, but just enough.Ive thought of using those SSR items, just an idea though.I say go for it,but keep it subtle

lol just because a lot of people on this site have clear corners doesn't mean they are common. I have only seen one other 3rd gen on the street with clear corners. how are you going to put the bowtie on, emblem?

Your car looks fabulous already...I think the bowties will just clutter its appearance and look altogether tacky. You're going to be using decals that can be removed, right? As long as that's the case, just try it and see for yourself. Everyone else's opinion is worthless in light of your own.

I'd at least do something that will coordinate with your car's 'scheme'....ie use black emblems

Those door guards are TOUGH! If it wasnt for them, I would of had big damage to my car. I LOVE mine now.

It's odd you slapped a bowtie on a bird.

I wouldn't add the bowties though. It just seems like a random addition that sticks out sorely.

And that picture freaked me out, I knew that garage looked familiar. Although now I kinda like the bird in blue.

I think your car has enough Chevy ID badges on it all ready. The door gaurds will save your *** one day but I think yours might look good without 'em due to the color.

No...

Your car has a great paint job, amazing wheels, a clean rag-top, and one of the straightest bodies on on TGO. The lines on your car are very defined and very clean...

That said, you don't have enough red on your car to pull it off, I don't believe that it's going to look good.

I have clear side markers on my car (pics in my sig), and I am one of the only people i know who has them. I'm in a car club with 50+ f-bodies, and very few of the thirdgens have them installed.

Everyone has a bad idea once in a while, and needs to get it slapped out of them. It's happened to me more than once... and lets face it, you didn't post your thoughts for fun, you wanted to see what the general consensus was.

Not good IMO.

i say go for the bowties if you want. i mean its your car. i dont think it will look bad. but it will look good if you get some nice defined red in the center caps. i have a vinyl chevy symbol on my windshield similar to what your talking about and i love it. but that is one of the more suttle areas on a car.

I wouldn't do the bowties. It will just break up the flow of you're car even more. I know I'm gonna sound a little out of line but there are enough things breaking up the flow on there already. The pinstriping and the windsheild banners for example. I like the photoshop you did though some of the ideas in there are a step in the right direction in my opinion. Again, don't take any of my comments personally dude, I'm just giving my input on what I think will make your car even sweeter.

i am thinking about taking the stripes off, i dont know tho...they've been on since i bought the car and i like them, but i keep looking at the photochop i did and it looks so mean, i dont think i'll be taking off the BSM's tho

the bowties on the side markers are out, but i'm leaving the windshield decal on, and the wheel caps will look sweet with the chevy windshield decal

I happen to love the side molding. Too much smooth sheetmetal otherwise. they break it up a little. Too me it look like something is missing without it.

NO VINYL on side-markers. For the love of Camaros please DON'T do it!

What is it with some people on this site? My car has an 18 year old paint job, some rust here and there, and an old looking interior. Some of the people on this site have the best looking third gens on the planet, and continually want to screw them up. Dude, your car is pretty much blue and black. Leave THAT scheme going. Don't go adding red here and there to be different. It will look like crap. Take it from me, I look at a peice of crap Iroc everyday. Make the center caps with the z28 in black. And for Thirdgen's sake, take off the windshield banner.

well thanks for your concern man but i'm pretty sure my windshield banner isn't hurting the "sake of 3rd genners"

i asked about decals on my side markers i never asked for an opinion about my windshield, i love the decal, and so does my car club which happens to be about 70+ ACTIVE fbody members...so sorry if i'm coming on rude or a jerk but...i dont give a crap about what any of you think about my windshield decal...it's staying...

and as far as the center caps go, the emblems are red vinyls that say "Z28" as pictured in this thread

banner is fine to me....goes with the car...me? Im going to get that 5" tint strip done one of these days

...as for the pinstriping I would urge you to keep it, it's different and subtle. To be honest I never noticed it until it was mentioned, but I love it now that I notice it

even if i decide i liked it better with it on i can always put it back on. when i bought it the stripes had lil' cracks in it so i re-did it myself so the way it looks right now is my own work of art haha
aint that hard to do right
