Torq Thrust 2 Wheels
Anybody know if you can order Torq Thrust wheels with a custom offset, i want a 17x11 wheel out back but i want a 6.5" bs so that it doesnt stick out. I did a search and i see that just about everyone is using a 5.5" bs.
I've seen a few cars on here, mostly Kandied's and i love the big tire tuck.
Front - 17x9 or 9.5 w/ 5.5bs - 245 or 275 on front, havnt decided what i want
Rear - 17x11 w/ 6.5bs - 285-315s out back
Thanks Mike

I think that I can get them for you, but the unique backspacing may make it a "custom" wheel which means that it'll cost more than normal, and once you order it, you own it, so if it doesn't fit, you're SOL. PM me and we can chat.

And what about brake fitment, i read on there website that deeper backspacing than 5.5 might interfere with brakes? i'm not picturing how it will interfere..
I have 97 Z28 disk brakes swapped onto my rears, and stock disks up front..
Thanks for the reply's,
Mike

I'm not sure how it would effect brake issues. I'd be more concerned with tire rub on the inner fender, and possibly with the shocks.

nah i'm not worried about tire rub at all. I have alot of room b4 it hits the shocks too. A buddy of mine minitubbed his camaro and runs 28x14.5 ET streets out back, stock shocks still in place, BUT he is close to hitting the shocks haha
I do plan on doing some massaging or maybe even squaring off the inside of the wheel well if i have that much of a clearance problem. I'm a pretty good at fabricating and welding so its not a big deal. i'll make it fit
Now if i have a brake clearance problem, thats not an easy fix lol thats gonna cost me a new set of aftermarket brakes or whatever it takes, not jsut a simple weld job

what about 18" TT2s anybody have any pix of 3rd gens with these on them? Might be a good change of pace, soemthing different if they'll fit, although i'd probly have to get a smaller width if i went that big

the width has nothing to do with the wheel size. You just get a smaller tire to maintain the same overall dimensions.

I have the 17x7 with a 225/45/17 tire in the front and the 17x8 with -11mm offset for the rear with a 245/45/17 tire (perfect fit). I tried the 17x9.5 on the rear with a tire on it but would hit the inner fender well, if you go with 17x11 would have to do a mini-tub for the wheels to fit.
