I am currently restoring my 86 Sport Coupe. I need to know the part number or any tother info I can get on the black and white (or are they black and silver?) stripes that go around the bottom of the car. Also, any info on the decal for the rear bumper that says "2.8 Multi-port" on one side and "Chevrolet" on the other.

Mike, Due to quite a few variations in the stripes that came on camaros & the different colors,, a specific p/n would be hard to give you, most of the time things like that are an order by description at the dealer.

Your other option, however, is to go to a paint supply house near you and ask them if they have any stripe tape that matches,, chances are if they don't, they can order it and it will be cheaper than getting pre-cut ones from the factory/dealer.

The back 2.8 decal is p/n 1005 4565, I would assume that that has 'chevrolet' on the opposite side,, something you may ask if you get it from a dealer (expect to pay about $20 for it too).

There are also sites like www.phoenixgraphix.com that sell stripe kits

I was looking through a JC Whitney Catalogue, and I noticed they do sell a stripe kit, with the colors I need- black and metallic silver. I may go with that.

One more question- would I be able to gget these stripes and the decal, and have whoever paints my car apply them, to be sure they are on strait? and about how much?
Since my $$$$ is limited, I'll probably be stuck goin to Maaco.
Anyone know a good one on Long Island? (New York)
