Well ive searched and searched and couldnt find any info i needed for polishing my 91 firebird stock rims. What i would like to know is what materials ill need like all the different sand papers and polishing compounds i need. I also need to know steps on doing this like what sandpaper to start with then what sand paper to end with then should i polish with the compound.

 

i think it depends on the wheels. if they are painted. ie. blue, black, etc.. i think you go with a 400 grit for final sanding. there is a part in here that goes into detail. the guy talks about putting the car up on stands and everything for doing the rear wheels.. it's in this forum.

The wheels im doing are stock 91 firebird wheels there not painted just clear coat.
