I hate that feeling...

I would laugh harder, but unfortuneately I have suffered the same fate as you before.
Really sucked having to shop vac water out before you can pull the seats and carpet to actually get everything dry.

Windows down? Try top down! I left it down at work one day, and went out to make some deliveries with my work van. In the 2 hours I was gone it went from nice and sunny to "Holy crap its the apocalypse". All with the top down. That was a soggy ride home.

Gee!
To think I freak out when I got my car caught out in the rain!
Then again, I remember driving by Van Nuys Assembly plant back in 1989, during the rain, and seeing hundreds of 20th Anniversarys sitting out in the rain! And to think people say their car has never been in the rain. Sheez!
But don't feel bad, my second gen has the wire on the one side of the top broken, so it (the top) is not as tight to the overhang, and water does leak abit on that one!
So ya, I feel your pain!
George

Good thing it was a hard top so probably not as bad as the convertible and t-tops.
