I simply don't understand why they would do this? They are a pretty hot ticket among us. I'm just glad I already have a set.

On a side note, I believe maroon88iroc made his own using clear plexiglass. Hopefully he can chime in here. If you do read this, just know that you would be making bank if you decided to sell your version lol.

Yeah they just went from $20.00-$100.00. I should be investing in 3rd gen parts beucase they seem to discontinue everything for our cars? A repesentitive from Classic Industries said it would be another 10 years before GM finally starts making most of the parts again.

I know of only 2 places to get them at the moment. Custolight and Jegs
I ordered mine from Custolight today. They doubled in price since I wanted to get some not too long ago. I think we need to find someone to keep making these. Maybe one of the sponsers or something would.

I just bought a set on ebay this morning. The sellers was makotoautotrends he has like a 56000+ rating. I used buy it now for $9.99 but he got me on shipping for $19.99. As I said just bought them I will post quality when I get them....Now if I could just find some for the rear sidemarkers.

Or you could go the route I went, shave them off, I'm hoping after it gets painted it will look nice with no side markers, gas door, trim, or handles, I guess we'll see though.

Technically according to DOT the clear ones are illegal as well as you must retain an ambler colored reflector in the front corner of the car and a red one in the rear corner. I too wish I had a set but since my car has gold trim since its a GTA the amber ones kinda go with the rest of the car. I am still thinking about looking for a set even though I know they arent legal but is mostly overlooked because the cops dont realize what they are.

I dont want to turn this into a debate but amber bulbs dont make them legal, they have to reflect amber when light is shown on them, at night when a car is parked and you drive past it you have amber reflectors in the front and red in the rear. Now back on subject, you can still get them here http://www.procarparts.com/store-mod...D=25&year=1988

Click on Bumper/Signal Lights under the 1988 Chevrolet Camaro section. Looks like $81.46 with shipping and handling. However, on a seperate subject, I did notice that they have the Borla Cat-Back Exhaust for $622 plus S&H.

Those are the front parking light/turn signal lenses. It's the side marker lenses that have been discontinued.

yeah there's quite a few places that still have them for the small prices of $50 or $60 a pair. That's rediculous. But supply and demand rules the world. I just wish I could have gotten mine before. I tried to like the week before they were discontinued too but someone out bid me on 2 pair.

*hate my life*

My boy BlueZee28 got his for like $25.00 shipped to his door, now I can't find them for cheaper than $50. All the ones I come across are turn singals/parking lights... I think I'll just go jump off a bridge. I could practically put a SuperCharger on the Camaro for that much money

I just spent 2 hours on the web and found nothing under 50. Not only is the government stealing my paycheck every week, but their damn regulations are killing my baby. If anyone finds a deal on these shout it out. I cannot even find them on ebay tonight.

Whats funny is that alot of new cars have clear side lenses from the factory. There is a LOOP HOLE. Technically our cars came from the factory with amber lenses and a clear bulb. So, a clear lense with an amber bulb will produce the same effect. I dont get it. And what the hell is "POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT WARNING"... that is fu(king retarded...

Yeah, BlueZee28 and I spent a while searching the web for the side markers... absolutely nothing, no Ebay, very few websites. It's devistating!

I guess I just don't get this whole thing about them being illegal. this amber reflector thing is rediculous. if you can't see my big red car in front of you then some how I doubt you will see the reflector if it is amber. IMO if you can't see my car at night with all the lights on, you should not be driving.

I don't understand why they have to be recalled. Can't the clear side marker makers claim them as showroom parts, as a disclaimer. All those ground lighting kits say that, and they get away with it.

well when i bought mine from procarparts.com it had a little green sticker on the package that said "for off-road use only". does anyone know how long they have been for sale? I know its at least been a couple of years.
