Easier to clean painted intake manifold or bare aluminum?

I got a new performer RPM manifold. I want to have it aluminum color. Should i paint it with hi temp aluminum silver spray paint or just leave it bare? What would be easier to keep clean? Thanx

The paint will be much easier to keep clean. The bare aluminum tends to stain easy.

Edelbrock now sells coated manifolds. Their "endurashine" is silver coated and any oil you get on it will wipe right off instead of staining.

Since you already have the manifold, you can take it to a coating place and have them coat it silver. That's what I did with my Performer RPM. Of course, then I decided mid-stream to change manifolds, so now I'm selling it because I bought a Victor Jr. I had the Victor Jr. coated too.

Here's a pic of my coated RPM:

Heavy-duty degreser, the stains will disappear. I wouldn't paint that if I were you, I've actually bead blasted paint off of intakes to use before...

i personally hate the look of the plane cast finish since all i see are the same color, but i REALLY hate the manifolds all stained on a otherwise clean car, i shot mine with a gloss black HT and a bit of clear, looks great, hope it holds up i have alot of time on that paint
