New paint

hey all i just got my car from the paint shop and i wanna kno if any of you guys have any do's and dont's for me. I heard from some friends that i should keep it in the sun to let the paint bake on and i also heard that this might cause it to fade. Also i heard i shouldnt wax or wash my car for about a month. i never messed around with paint so i dont know much about it any advise will be appricated

well he said nothing will really hurt it but i just wanted to see if theres any painters out there with any advise for me beside nothing will hurt it

lol, I would be scared. I wonder just how long your paint is going to last with those wise words.

You can wash it, just don't wax for at least 3 months.

yeah dont wax it, keep it protected in a garage if you can, wash it with a soft cloth, like a terry towel with just water or a little bit of soap. the car should be fine to sit outside though

Wash with microfiber towels. Do a search for ways to properly wash your car or visit Autopia - Car Detailing (Wash, Wax, Polish) Enthusiast Forum..

Don't listen to these guys, get a box of sos pads and wash it with the pads right away, if you dont the grease will deteriorate you new paint job.
JK, I didn't wash my car for 3 months, after the first wash (spray wash and rinse only) I waxed it and when I go to the car wash now all I do is spray it off and dry it by going 100MPH plus
