pics of 'leveled cars' vrs 'raked cars'
Hey,
I just lowered my '91 Z 1.7", and at this point the car has a noticable 'rake' to it. I can't decide what I like better - leveled front - rear cars or the rake?... I have gone through the thirdgen archives and looked at many of your awesome cars, but am still undecided if I should work on leaving the car or if I should level it with the rake. (the difference between front and rear is approx 2"). I am running stock 16" rims and at this point am leaning toward the leveled look...
Any pics that you guys can share of either set up would be appreciated.
TIA

I think a slight rake looks good!
Nothing too crazy like the front GFX draggin the ground and the taillights pointin to the moon though.
Mine in the sig (AFAIK) is all original suspension but with big baloon winter tires on it at the time of picture... It appears to be sitting slightly higher on the front end sometimes and other times it appears to sit even, maybe my eye has a dent in it

here is a picture of both of the Walter Racecraft rides. the white one has cut v6 springs and the black one has stock iroc springs.

here is another one that shows the rake on the white car.

In for that rake
I think thirdgens looks exceptionally good with slight(1-2" inch) rake. But DAMN do they look bad the other way around. Also, whenever 3rd gen accelerates, you know how some have saggy susp on the rear, it looks best if it doesn't do that and doesn't loose that rack en motion (when acceleratin)

Here's one with a great look! It's not mine, but it's a rake and stance I'd love to imitate. I found it awhile back on one of the other 3rdgen sites, GTA Source Page, I think, and it's owned by someone in Norway/Sweden/Denmark. I hope he doesn't mind me showing-it-off here, because I like it A LOT!!!

Mine has a little rake to it. This is one of the few direct side shots I have, and although the ground is a bit wavey making it look extra high in some spots - you can still see the rake..

mine also has a slight rake.. just a hint.
Thanks for the pic guys... those are all awesome rides.
To be honest though, I am really diggin - srdynamics1 stance. Ken, your's look great with that rake - this is the amount I currently have - but it just seems that your rag looks really really great, while when I look at my '91 hardtop Z, not as good.
Ah decisions, decisions...
many thanks guys. I will post my pics as soon as I have them - I'm just waiting a while to see how my new springs settle...
