putting on 17"s, best way to clean up brakes??????

putting on 17"s, best way to clean up brakes??????

just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to clean up my rotor and calipers in the front, drums in the back, im putting 17" eagle 203's on and want to clean up the backside for a nice look, but i dont want i to turn out ***** lookin, any suggestions?>?

brake cleaner, a few rags, and a bunch of elbow grease. just rub them with the rag after your spray and it will look almost like new. or even go ahead and paint them silver or black. it wont look ***** at all.

If you're close to a brake job anyway, I'd say paint a set of new calipers. You won't have to worry about the paint not sticking.

I actually cleaned mine yesterday with regular car soap and a rag and they look great. I painted my drums satin black because grease-spotted aluminum was an ugly color (didn't want anything too eye-catching until I get some real brakes back there..hehe).

i was thinking the same thing, maybe putting those disc simulators on there until i get some realbrakes back their

Uhhh, if you're trying to avoid "*****" I would not get those disc simulators. Cheese. There is nothing wrong with drum brakes, clean 'em up and be proud of them.
