Hawk's Seats

My driver seat is ripped and our usual company that recovers seats cant make an exact match or close to it. Hawks says their recovered seats arent OEM but are very close, Can you tell a difference? Does anybody have pictures comparing their OEM seat and Hawksthirdgenparts seats?

Yes, you can tell the difference. How much of a difference really depends on which stock fabric you've got now.

The new material is pretty similar to the plush material that was used on the firebird seats (base model not withstanding), but isn't very similar to the grainy, rough cloth that was on most of the Camaro seats. The early Camaro seats also had a striped pattern that's not available in any modern fabrics, but the newer Camaros and most of the Firebirds all had a plain, no-print fabric.

In other words, if you've got Camaro seats, the fabric probably isn't a real close match and might lose you a point or two in a car show if the judge actually knows thirdgens (not likely), but it's still a very good approximation of the stock style with what fabric is available today. If you've got a Firebird, it's damned close, but still not exact.
