I am going to have my car painted dark red and was wondering what color stripe I should get on it?? The stripe is going to be the size of the cowl induction hood that is to be added (Harwood 3 inch). So what do you think?? Any pics are welcome.

I think a pewter metallic stripe would look bad@$$ if your dark red is a metallic color//

what color is your interior. that matters. if you have a tan int. then dont do a silver stripe. but if you have grey/black go ahead.
silver will probably be your best combo for the dark red. i know stock they had small stripes on IROCs. that were gold/black, just above the ground-fx. those look nice. but the IROC wheels also had a gold background.
so go with what compiments your interior.
and make sure you post pics.

My car will be dark red, has a grey interior and the gold accect rims. Not worried so much about how the paint goes with the rims because Ill just change them later any way.
You guys think silver will look good though?? Have you ever seen this? What about a black stripe?

Well, the 1987 dark red metallic IROC-Z in 1987 had the silver/black or gold/black striping. The 1988 IROC-Z had a red/black stripe with a red IROC-Z door decal which was almost impossible to see. Sometimes I wonder what those GM engineers were thinking....

if you go black you might as well go with a dark red stripe! none at all i mean. you wont be able to see it. and it wont look good. i have seen this. the only way to do this is to have dual racing stripes if you do black. just one black stripe looks like you molded the cowl part on and didnt paint it. it really looks bad.
just my opinion.
oh and i have seen a dark red with a stripe. i didnt like it. i dont really care for one stripe going down the hood. unless it is an SS hood. but that is another story.
if you have to ask. dont do it.
