GTO headlight and taillight cover questions.

I was looking at these in Jegs, they look pretty nice. Do they just snap in? Do the head light ones sit flush with the body? Do the head light ones impair your lights at night? Thanks a lot!

I dont have them on my Iroc but alot of my friends have them and yes they do dim your head lights a little but you could just take them off at night. Besides with the headlights on they do little for appearance anyway.

i have them on front and back, they fit almost perfectly fluch and attach with 3m 2-way tape that is pretty damn tough, they include screws for added hold if you want. as far as dimming the lights, i just bought the brilliant white lamps and you cannot really tell the difference at night, they look very clean!

Blackouts = YUK. And the company is GTS.
If you do get the blackouts, be sure to take the "GTS" sticker off with a blowdryer and a razorblade or something, they look even dumber with the stickers still on.

I have a Trans am. I saw the GTS black out covers, but they were made for Firebirds and Formulas and specifically said EXCEPT TRANS AM. I have lights from an '88 TA on my '83. Does anybody know why the GTS light will only fit on the firebird and formula and not the TA? I always thought the tail lights were the same. Also, how does that black out spray work? I saw it advertised, but wasnt sure if it would look ghetto and not last too long. I want to make my tail lights on my TA a solid black, instead of the grid style.

I have purchased 3 sets of front blackouts now, and 2 different makes. Every time I get over 180KPH they start to lift up, and about two seconds later they are gone. I lost one set at the track, and the other two on the high-way..... can someone please tell me how to make these things stay on? An 18 wheeler almost put himself in the ditch because one of my covers blew infront of his window.

they do dim the lights a lot. i always have my foglights on at night or i cant see well. make sure you take the sticker off. they look 100% better w/o the GTS logo. ive lost two sets in the front also. one by hitting a deer, the other flew off on the freeway at around 130 mph or so. my most recent set havent blown off yet because i made sure to set them inside the light basket at a steeper angle so the wind pushes them down instead of lift them up. this set has taken the abuse of 145mph runs on the freeway and havent blown off.

I had one thatblew off on the freeway 'cause the cheap plastic bracket holding it broke! If I ever get another set, I'm gonna make a metal bracket and bolt them on!

well i know its not an iroc but if it helps i have them on the back of my firebird. Check sig for pic, i took the GTS stickers off. I hate those. I think the reason they dont have them for the trans ams is becouse they have that checkered design and thats dark as it is. Blackouts might be to dark before its dangerous.

So do you think they wouldnt be a good idea to put on my daily driver? I like the way the lights look totally black. I bought the '88 style grid lights for my '83 because of the fact that I couldnt stand the stock ones with those ugly louvers from '83. I want to see how bad the lights would dim with the blackouts on my car.

Can't blow off, can't be stolen, nice and black during the day, perfectly visible at night. Would only look good on the taillights and sidemarkers though. I love the stuff.
