Underbody paint color
I have a 92 camaro and I was wondering if anyone had a color match for the underbody. Rattle can prefered. It appears to be a gray primer color. I can't find anything that matches too well.

That actually is primer/sealer the chassis/tub/parts were dips/sprayed with from the plant.
The closest color I can think of offhand in spraybom paint is Rustoleum Pewter Gray or slightly lighter is Dove Grey... both available in their 'protective enamel paint' line.
DAP 'touch-n-tone' also has a fairly light grey color but, I cannot think of it's name offhand at the moment. DAP isn't quite as durable/quality as Rustoleum IMO though (thus, reflected the price difference).
We are just talking paint for undercarriage though...

Well, I finally got to clean the underbody up some to see what I need to do. I was surprised at what a bottle of bleach white and a pressure washer will do to remove 163,000 miles worth of road grime. I just want to find a color that's close and just touch it up.
I picked up some rustoleum 7786 Smoke Gray today. Looks like a pretty good match for the gas tank. They didn't have the pewter. I'll have to get some and compare.

UPDATE: Found some at a local hardware. Looks like it will match better than the smoke gray I bought first.

Decided to go with rust-oleum industrial light machine gray #7581. Found it in a larger can at Home Depot. I think it matches my car underbody a little better.

Nice! I'd like to do that to mine also.. If i had cleaned the underbody of my car, I wouldnt paint it the factory color, Mines red with new sealer btw. But if i were to strip it all down id go with the bed liner stuff, which works great for sound proofing and rust proofs underneath the car..
