polishing stock firebird wheels?

polishing stock firebird wheels?

I have a 91 bird and i was wondering if my stock wheels which look like this (bad pic sorry) http://gmtips.com/3rd-degree/dox/tips/wheels/88f/1.gif can be polished to make shiny? thanks

Transmission: 700r4, 5 spd
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 2.77 open
well that pic is just to represent the type of wheel you have right?, if it's as bad as i think it is (yellowing and dirty) i would strip the clearcoat and polish the wheel, and then spray another coat of clear to seal the wheel.but yeah pretty much any wheel can be polished to make it shiny again

yeah thats just the type of wheel i have. the rims arent dirty or yellow though. can i polish these rims and make them look like chrome, like how you can with aluminum? or do i have to strip the clear coat off?

teah the aircraft remover will strip the clearcoat, that's what i did to take the clear off of my wheels, i bought it in aerosol cans and i used 3 cans. 1 can was like $7
