what are these and where do i get them my car has them now but they are like a cheap material i was going to replace them but if i can get them in plastic that would be better cause i could paint them a different color of the car they are the two plastic interserts here is a pic i took from onefasthawk car that is/was for sale hope they dont mind

Also, what is the point of those things? Maybe to give it the traditional pontiac split-grill look?

 

the 82-83 grills were actually a grill, to make air flow through the radiator maybe, but then again isn't there a huge bumper brace in the way???

I've also heard them called bumper inserts.
