Harwood 3" cowl hood, what are my chances?
It's almost time to order my cowl hood finally, the problem at hand is where to get one from.. I want a fiberglass hood, and I personally like the look of harwood's hoods, but I'm afraid of the fit and have heard bad feedback and horror stories.. If I don't get a Harwood I'll most likely go with one from ASCD.. Does anyone know what size ASCD makes their cowl hoods in? Anyway, my main question is how good are my chances of getting the Harwood to fit on right? Would I be smart to trust a body shop to put it on correctly? Anyone with Harwood hoods please post your pics! Thanks.

I ordered a bolt on Unlimited 2 1/4" cowl fiberglass hood about 2 weeks ago for $300. The cars I've seen this and their 4" cowl hoods all look and fit good. Here's a direct link to their camaro page:

As much as I'd like to get a hood from Unlimited Products, (Good feedback, great prices) I want a bigger cowl than 2 1/2" and it seems their next one is 4 3/4" (which is way too big for me).. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about their hood sizes..

I have a 4" Harwood cowl on mine. Fit is not too bad. Did not have to shave any or adjust any body parts. Did not fit as well as CRNDRVR's appears to fit. That looks perfect.
Mine has a tolerable .5 inch gap between the front and nose.

Hey Carndrvr I've seen that pic alot and I'd have to say that your car is one of the few ive looked at that has made me "really like the look of harwood" as I stated in the first post.. also my camaro is almost the same color as yours and what yours looks like is the exact look im going for (with different rims for the future when I have money) as well as yours bad camaro (ive talked to you about harwood a little while ago).. It seems to me that everyone here sofar has gone towards harwoods and think they are good... more opinions and pictures anyone? Thanks!

You can also get a price list from glasstek by calling 630-978-9897. They make a very good 4" cowl. I like how mine fit.

Wow... I am wiping my drool off the computer desk right now! That car looks awesome!!! I think that I can say that Camaro is IMHO the best looking third gen I have ever seen.
Almost exactly the look I was going for with mine, and I love that color.
If you don't mind me asking, what size/brand wheels are those? Like I said, that is almost exactly the look I am going for....

Hey everyone...Yes the wing is a factory Z28 wing from a '91-92 Z28. The wheels are Boyd Coddington 17x9 in front and 17x11 in rear. the tires are Pirelli P7000 275/40/ZR17 in front and 315/35/ZR17 in back. Thanks for all the compliments. And just so you all know, I am considering selling the car, so if anyone is intersted...check out my other post on here...it tells all about it. It is titled "I AM SELLING MY CAMARO...ANY INTERSTS"
