Hey Guys, ok here’s what happened, I was driving and the back passenger tire blew. Well it left black tread off over the paint. How do I get it off? Any ideas

paint your car black and you wont notice!

seriously though, try some simple green or goo gone. i dont think it would hurt your paint if you dont overdo it

A rubbing compound should take it off, just go to the local parts store. Rub until the black comes off, but not until the red comes off. Looks like it could be time for some paint soon...

Try some WD-40. In know it sounds weird, but it works. Tire blew on my dad's 69 cutlass a while back and that's what he used. I used it on my old pickup to get some similar stuff off.

gas, varsol, wd-40, goo-gone, bug&tar remover.. etc. just be careful because all of these products will soften the paint.

also ensure to wash with soapy water, and then re-wax that area for protection.

Use the stuff suggested to get the majority off. Then use a claybar to get the small stuff.

I know how it feels to be waiting for the cash to get the paint done. I let my bro borrow my ride while I was out of town a few years back. Like the good brother that he is, he was niced enough to clean it out, and check the fluids for me. But he didn't get the hood shut right. The good came up on him while he was going 40 down the highway. So I drove around for a year with s hood and fenders that didn't match.
