how do I clean the stock painted rims?
I've got the stock red rims on my fire red 89 rs and i was wondering whats the best way the clean them up because they get covered in brake dust and they start to not match my car any more. Well because you cant just polish them like chromes i was wondering whats the best way to make my rims look nice a clean that wont take 1 day and a half of scrubbing.

I have the same rims, and unfortunately, the paint is easily damaged by cleaners.I just use dish soap and a soft bristle brush. Be careful though, because If you aren't the paint will fade.At least on mine they do(they're original paint). I dont know much about it, but it would be interesting to see if anyone has powder coated their stock rims. Then you could just pressure wash them whenever they get dirty. Anyways, the only way I know is by either a LOW pressure setting on a pressure washer or by old fashioned elbow grease.Good luck!
