leds

ive got ten 194 led bulbs and i got them for the gaugse then i realized hey those 194 in there are stuck in the socket after i broke one. so now i have a bunch of bulbs that i decided not to put in the socket. Well anyway i was wonderingwhat type of bulb is the license plate light, the brake light in the spoiler and the turn signals. I've already designated two to four of them to the headlight housing so when i finally get my clear headlight covers they will have a red glow to them with the headlights off.

if you've got any other advice for these bulbs that would look sick or any idea where to get the stupid translucent red bingo chips you used to use back in third grade cause i want to make my signal idicators red

You have to go to an auto parts store and get the twist sockets that let you use a standard 194 bulb in the cluster.

The license is 194, the turn signals 2057 (auto stores or Wal-Mart). You can purchase a Sylvania 2057 for the front parking light/turn signals that is much brighter. I just swapped them in. The SilverStar headlamps are also pretty cool.

If you switch to LEds in the turn signal they WONT blink.Something to do with not enough voltage being pulled by the LED to make the "flasher" engage(blink on/off).Also your underdash, Hvac, maplight (if you have them),shift indicator are 194 type.

LED's will work in the taillights and the front side markers. If you try to put them in the front directionals, you're gonna have problems. You can upgrade to a variable load flasher and they should work.
