Ok, I bought this car a little over 1.5 years ago. I have not done anything with the exterior or interior yet, but have focused mainly on the engine and getting all the kinks worked out. I also worked on the exhaust, putting on hooker 2055's and 3 in y pipe, and a magnaflow muffler with some cool looking chrome tips. lol. I am gonna be starting on the body next, as you can see from the pics, it needs a little rust fixing. Nothing too bad if I catch it NOW. Underbody is in good condition, no rotted floor pans, or anything else. I have had to replace the entire rear brake line and both lines feeding the rear wheels however. The fuel lines will need attention next. There is nothing special done to the engine, just the top half taken apart and media blasted, when I did the lower intake gaskets and all the other new stuff like injectors, rebuilt fuel rail, egr valve, etc. I am looking to restore this car to basically original. I am going to put a better cam in it, but thats as extreme as I ever plan on going with the engine. I am going to go stock colors and paint scheme/graphics too. Every sensor on this engine is new, except the knock sensor, and ESC module, since they never gave me fits. Ecm is new and so is the PROM. All stock stuff. The fog lights are NEW GM replacemtnts, and the right front get MOISTURE in it. WTF!??! That's getting sent back. Couple questions however.
1- am I better off replacing the doors since both sides have rot underneath, the pasanger door isnt as bad however.
2- Whats a REALLY good upholstery cleaner, I want to shine up the interior really good before I take pics. It looks like crap. I haven't cleaned it up in a good while.

About the doors, You will have to take them off to fix them. It all depends on what it looks like after you start scraping, and wire wheeling. If you can get away with that, then put a quick coat of bondo on (or fiberglass). and sand to get it all smooth again, your good to paint. But if the door skin is totally rusted off from the rest of the door.....you might want to look for some new doors.

Thanks guys, and thanks for the door info. Now I know what to look for on the doors. I have looked all the way underneath them a couple times, and it didn't seem the cancer has rotted out the doors all the way. I want to definitely try and keep every original body panel too.
