adapter for rims?!?!?! help pleeeeeeeeease

I drive a 91 camaro rs. My freind has a 97 rs, and he put a set of after market rims on it, prime 5 stars and they bolted up fine. Well i went to put them on my car this weekend, and the rears went on perfect, but the fronts didnt, they line up fine and dandy, but the studs dont reach. I see alot of third gens lately with 4th gen wheels and keep on seeing something about adapters for wheels to fit. I need to know if theres an adapter i can get to make these rims fit since there the same as a forth gens. Im sure its probably been posted on here, and i look like a big idiot, but i probably missed it, and im not good at wheels. Any help would be highly appreciated thanks alot.
