16" wheels on front and 17" wheels on rear???

I bought some chrome 16" Iroc wheels for my Camaro and I see that they make the same wheels in 17". I was wondering if anybody has tried running 16" wheels on the front with 17" in the back with a lower profile tire to make it the same height as the front 16" wheel and tire. I know that there are some newer cars that run like 18's on the front with 19's on the rear. If anybody has any pics of this or something close to it would be cool to see. Opinions would be good too!

if you do do that do not make the back tire a lower profile to match the height of the front wheel/tire.... that will look like ***!

but the staggard look is a nice look on some cars but you will want a big tire on the bigger back wheel i promise you

staggered wheels that you see on cars from factory have the body work around the size difference. Look at the corvette and how it's rear hugs the wheels in away that the size difference is hard to distinguish. Now try and dothe same thing on a car that wasnt intended to have staggered wheels and it looks out of place. There are a few pictures on this site that show staggered sizes and they look ok, but keep in mind that you're viewing it from a certain angle in the picture, and usually that's one of the few angles it will actually look good

Yeah I guess now that I think about it that it would look a little off with a lower profile tire in the back. I think I'll just scrap the idea because I don't want the back end of my car sitting up anymore higher in the rear...
