ground effect kit or not?

Hi everyone,

I have 86 v6 that was given to me. I want to do sometime will the body. I really wanted to put a 91-92 ground effect kit on it but they don't make them any more . and I don't really care for the early year gfx kit. I think I have found something almost as good at the 91-92 kit.

What do you think? Is this kit changing the lines to much?

Yea the GFX kit is pretty ugly. Look in a junk yard, find a parts car and take what you need. Alot of folks selling gfx also. Where are you located? I have a complete set, but its slightly earlier model (1988).

I think that camaros need ground effects and cannot pull the formula look

that bieng said, your car would look worse with that set of effects than if you used none at all, stripped all the paint off, covered it in salt and kept it moist with a hose

seriously fastfirebird totally gave you the hook!

Mobbetta10 is right though, 91/92 GFX are scarce! It took me all of 30 seconds to come up with three links, though.
I have a hard copy of Classic Industries and they have almost everything for f-bodys. If you go to their site they will send you a free catalog.
.
BTW its my "firstfirbird" not yet "fastfirebird" but soon to be "forcedfirebird"
.
.
Come check out my project as it develops...

Classic Industries might have them, call them up to make sure. I couldn't find anything in the book or the site, but it wouldn't hurt to call them up. Just please don't get the one you first linked to, it looks horrible.

91/92 were unavailable, but they had earlier models (82-87) in the body components section.

Junkyards, or check the classifieds section. Not always one up for sale, but they do pup up. Keep your eyes peeled. Look at the thread PHASE I IROC restoration, or something like that. He found and aero-kit from somewhere, ask how he did it. His user ID is Neil.

Please tell me you bought the car like that because if you did that you should go buy a ***** and play with that. As for the gfx the 91-92 are the nicest but the older ones are easy to come buy and look good one the car. ill see if i can get a pic of one w/o gfx today on my way to school but id say fix your paint job when you put the gfx on because that looks like one of those rip off shitty hot wheels cars that you might get at a bargain store.
