sparaying lacquer paint

Car: 97 b4c camaro
Engine: 350 lt1
Axle/Gears: 3.23
sparaying lacquer paint
i have a gallon of high gloss jet black and a gallon of clear both lacquer and primer all from hok paint. How can i spray it to get the best results? prepping spraying and i hear buffing base coat before clear? idk so any advice would be great thanks!

I've painted allot of my cars over the years and i used to use lacquer when it was still popular in the 70's.........i would NEVER use it again- except if i was painting the interior dash of an old car like my62 caddy.....that paint has ZERO stone chip and scratch resistance........it would be a HUGE waste of your time, even if the paint was FREE! I would never paint a car with anything other than base coat clear coat, or maybe single stage.

Exactly what he said! Then again, if it's all you have, go for it.For best results, call HOK, I'm sure they can tell ya.
