I need a pic of limo all around on a camaro from the side if you got one. Blue camaro even better.

Also a shot of limo on the hatch and 20% on sides and one with 20% all around if you all might have some.

Here's my old driver, had 20% all around, about the darkest you can get away with here in Altanta without any grief. Not the best tint job, but you get the idea.

i think the limo all around looks like the choice i'll be going with. the camaro isn't driven at night with windows up, as it's not driven in the rain or daily driven either.

Yes its lowered with Dropzone springs.

The wheels are 17x8.5 ROH ZS.

The hood is an SS Hood.

Just don't use the defrost and it holds up fine. My old Pontiac had bubbled tint from the previous owner using the defrost, it can and will melt the tint adhesive.

35% in front and 13% in the rear. Only been pulled over once out of the 4 years i've owned the car with the tints on.

yeah i guess it all depends on where u live and how strict they are. there was some legislation going around in indiana to make it a felony or something if you dont fix your tint after being warned.

I had heard that too, so I posted a thread on another car forum asking if anyone had problems with the tint discoloring or bubbling with repeated use of the rear defrost.

Out of like 150 people, only 4 or 5 reported problems, and the guys on the board who tint for a living said the shops that did theirs probably used cheap tint.

By the way, Steve, let's see a pic with your new tint. I read on the SW Chicago board that you got it done. You're just trying to hide the cage, arent you?

yup trying to hide the cage...

i'll get pics when it's not cold and rainy out. I ended up with limo all around for $210 with a lifetime warranty. Turned out sweet.

has anyone done or seen red window tint on a camaro? i found it for pretty cheap on summitracing.com and i was wondering hoe it would look on a red rs or actually on any camaro at all. I saw some pics of it on trucs and an acura but it was the fade **** not full red tint like on summit.

red tint will look extremely tacky, get the black tint or none at all.

Stock windows with no tint will give you about 80% VLT. The UV guard tints that block UV but don't have any darkness to them run about 70%. Actual tinted windows start at 50% (verrrry light), 35% (front doors generally), 20% (new SUV's), 5% (limo)

Never heard of trouble with using a defroster on tinted windows. It's quite the opposite. Tint acts as an insulator in the wintertime, so you need to use the defroster less. One of my other cars is a daily driver year round and I have no troubles at all with defroster and tint. It has Sunguard "Perform X Slate" which is their middle/upper middle of the line brand.

The dyed tints aren't worth the time. They WILL turn purple, bubble etc. And the heat rejection on a 5% dyed window is generally worse than a metallized tint with 50% VLT on it. Dyed tints usually come with a 5 year warranty vs a lifetime warranty for a good metallized tint. Do it right the first time.

i don't care andre, my camaro is trailered more than driven....not like it'll bother me. It will never be driven in the rain or anything so the side windows will be down on the street. Also if the loud exhaust, cage, 5 point harnesses, no front plate, cowl hood, etc doesn't get me a ticket, then I guess I'll pay the $40-50 for tint.
