while i have my accesories and heads off my engine i need some tips on cleaning and painting

LOTS of Simple Green...LOTS of rags...
LOTS of elbow grease...LOTS of patience...
LOTS of time...and plastic bag the intake opening/carburator and distributor...
thats about it...
Then maybe consider removing the engine for painting it and the compartment...
