The only problem I see with it is it's not in my driveway! If anybody gives you a problem about the way you fixed that car,you should slap them upside the head, that's a beautiful car.

FTW!
That'd be sweet. I'll think about it
The stripes are on it now, but it's still not DONE because I haven't had time to put the louvers on yet, and for some reason the trunk pulldown motor stopped working...It's pissing me off, I've had to buy about 4 of these things ever since I became a 3rd gen owner. They suck
I don't know how I like the stripes. I mean they look good and all, but they're flipped around. The silver one is on top cuz I wasn't here when my dad put them on. Silly dad, he didn't know which way they went

Bro, I don't know what your worried about? It looks awesome! I've a 91Z with a stock color which looks very similar to the color you painted your z! My good buddy has a 91 exactly like mine...with a procharger. Love the color and I appricate the fact that you and your dad did it the right way!
lOOKS GREAT!

It's very simple. Rather than spending the money on new decals and painting your car the right way, just mask off the factory decals and paint around them. Voila! perfect positioning. Since your car appears to have already been painted properly, you'll need to do it the hard way and position them based on measurements.

You sure you wanna put the decals back on? I've had the decals for mine sitting in a closet since I painted the car about 5 or 6 years ago. I just can't bring myself to put them on.

And I JUST NOW fixed the hatch pull down motor, so she's 99% done. I gotta finish putting the grill back on and put the passenger windshield wiper back on, that stupid thing is giving me hell
Not to split hairs, but how can I start "more ****" if this is the first time that I've posted in a long time? Unless you're talking about all the **** that other people gave him over half-assing his car. I can't be blamed for that. I did not hold a gun to their heads and tell them what to type.
I say we ignore all the comments that aren't exactly helping this thread, if we dont im sure it'll get out of hand just like the last one. If you don't like it, dont post.

I'm not posting anything negative in regards to the content of this thread. It's pointless to.
I am somewhat intrigued, though, as to why a stock color repaint is generating so many comments in regards to the color choice?
I believe GM started painting IROC-Z's Quasar Blue in 1985 - it's nothing "new"

(like it makes a difference anyways)
But I get the same remarks about the convertible, it's just a stock color...sure it's a sweet color but there's a few thousand other 3rd gens the same color out there
Since youve gone so far as to have it all done the right way already, add one more vote for leave them off. That car looks great.
Id tell Blue to leave them off too, but................

There's no sense in trying to make a 3rd gen look like a current model car. They're 20+ yrs old for the most part, so why try and make them look "current" by leaving off the stickers that supposedly "date them". If you're gonna take off the door stickers you might as well take off all the emblems including the nose badge. Those date the car too since there's no fbodies being produced anymore.

I always loved the iroc stripes. Once I get my RS mechanically top-notch and finally get around to considering a repaint, I keep throwing around putting IROC stripes on it, but not the decals (since it's not an IROC
)... But those stripes to me really set off the ground effects...
)... But those stripes to me really set off the ground effects... sean idk when you bought your rs but about 2 years ago one of my friends here in warner robins sold his all original 20K mile 90 iroc same color for around $10K.

Oh yea, I got the car completely put back together now. And I fixed the trunk pull down motor FINALLY. I'll pull her out of the garage sometime this week whenever it gets warm enough to wash it in the driveway. It's supposed to be in the upper 50's and lower 60's later this week so I'll clean both cars up and take some pictures for you guys.

Your car looks way better the way it is now. Its simple, and its good looking. The 80's IROC stickers date the car, IMHO.

I'm still not 100% happy with it, both quarter panels and the passenger side door need to be sanded again and re-buffed. Other than that, she turned out pretty good as far as I'm concerned. Here's some pictures I took today. And the front license plate wasn't my idea, my dad wanted it to go back on and I had no say in the matter.
God I hate TGO's file limit. I resized the pics and they're still choppy...

----------
The crap at the bottom of the quarter panel in picture #4 is mud. I JUST WASHED it and it's already dirty

Yea, I'm getting used to the look of them. And yes they're supposed to have a gap between them. The original ones had a gap too.
I won't have time to do that until this weekend though
