My seats where mint, and I took the back seats out, and i looked at them today, and the back has a few grease stains, and a small rust spot, fro a rusty bolt or something next to it. How can i remove theese stains?

 

try some carpet cleaner, a steam cleaner or if ur lucky u can spray brake clean on a rag and carefully "dab" at it

 

Best I've found for grease is lighter flluid and a clean rag. Works good. Shoot some fluid on the stain and wipe off.

 

I would try a mild cleaner like Simple Green first before moving on to harsher chemicals

 

I dunno about the rust, but I know that Spray-N-Wash will take out the grease. I used to have a beater Impala and it looked like the previous owner hauled engine blocks in the back seat. I got it looking new again with Spray-N-Wash and a scrub brush. Use a towel and a bucket of water to remove all the suds and keep changing the bucket of water as it gets funky.

Worked for me.

 

Try a mild solution like oxy-clean before you go to the industrial cleaners.

 

There is nothing mild about simple green. It rubs paint off your car if you try and use to to degrease your engine bay. Simple Green is a solvent and is very harsh even when diluted.

 

I would do the "spray and wash" or "SHOUT" products for removal, then let it sit a few minutes, and use warm soapy water and "gently" rub out the stains.

 

Well, here in Canada I would go down to Canadian Tire and buy some waterless hand cleaner, rub it on to the grease and rust, then steam clean it out after 30 minutes. Would come right off, but if you could find something similiar, it's like an offwhite cream that takes grease off your hands..

washed a 68 charger with simple green diluted. we use simple green to clean alot of cars, esp when we frist get them and whatnot
