well if you mean a single car, then I'd have to say the twin turbo 650hp 91 Trans Am that is pictured in the NEThirdgen.Org banner. For very limited production cars, the Firehawk. For limited production cars, the 89 TTA. For regular production cars, the 91/92 Z28, Trans Am, GTA, and Formula are the best out of all of the thirdgens.

My ultimate list of 3rdgen's I'd like would probably be:

* 1989 Turbo Trans AM (of course)
* Late 80's Trans AM, 350, metallic blue with silver gfx, black interior, digital dash. (pretty much like the Formula in the thirdgen.org logo)
* Late 80's GTA, 350, dark red with tan leather.
* Early 80's black TA with gold gfx, black bowling ball rims, 190hp 305HO (just because)
* Late 80's Formula 350, yellow with black on the bottom (sort of like the old ad)
* Late 80's IROC, silver.
* 92 RS, any color really. (I just like the looks of them)

Not necessarily in that order.

Totaly agree with Jim86. Firehawk and TTA are the wildest thirdgen ever made

Just my opinion. And I respect the opinion of every thirdgen lover here.

...I'd have to pick the '92 Firehawk #27 Trans Am convertible with the 375 hp aluminum engine and Recaro seat/Brembo brake package. Since the last time that car was for sale it was listed at $100K, I'd guess I'd settle for any of the 375 hp cars with the Recaro/Brembo package.

...what the hell, I'd settle for any of the 3rd gen Hawks, period...

...or any one of the Skunkworks 3rd gen cars for that matter...

...I'm not choosy...

I'd have to say a firehawk would definitely be on the top of my list. An iroc-z convertible would be right behind it.

Agreed. Talk about rare, and an anniversary car at that! Just try to find one -- it's virtually impossible. Then try to find one with a TPI/5-speed (except the one in my garage) -- absolutely impossible.

I've always wanted either a:
1.) 1989 IROC Convertable, black.
2.) 1991/92 Z28 with T-Tops, black.

But my 92 RS Coupe is close enough.

i want to find a 1990 black 305TPI/5spd. IROC convertible with under 20,000 miles. that would be soo nice, but i am content with my 1990 hardtop 350.

but if i had to choose:
1989 TTA
1992 Z28 350 or 305/5spd
and a few more but that is what i would start out with!!

if i ever get to see a FIREHAWK or learn about them then i might want one. but oh well!!

Hmmmm...my thirdgen dream garage would have:
1. 1989 TTA
2. 92 Firehawk
3. my existing 84 Recaro TA totally restored
4. a greenhouse with money trees growing in
it to provide the funds

Maybe a GN or a Regal T, too.

I think the most "DESIRABLE" would be the mythical 350/5speed combo that has been an ongoing debate here at thirdgen. I'm not taking sides, but in case you don't know about this, there's a big fight as to if ANY of them were ever produced.

I've seen plenty of those up here in Canada - 87,88,89 they were built for racing in the Players challenge, but were NOT supposed to be driven on the street...however, many of them made to the street...my buddy had an '87, all painted up with all the Players Cigarette stuff all over them...I might be able to get a pic to post...

So, I will have to ad that one to my favorites list:

1987 IroC 350 -5spd Players Challenge car.

Im not saying there were not any 350's with 5 speeds but every time I meet somone who says they have a 350 IROC with a 5 speed I prove them wrong. I have looked all around and never seen one with 350 and a 5 speed from factory. Maybe in Canada they have a bunch of them but not here in Cali.
