Scuffs in my clearcoat...
Scuffs in my clearcoat...
A local carwash that I have since quit going to left serveral scuff marks in my clearcoat when they washed it. It looks like they used the ruff side of a dish sponge
It is just in the clearcoat and before I do the complete Zaino thing I wanted to know how to buff it out. I need to know exactly what to use and how to do it (I'm new to detailing). Then I plan on going over my car a few times with a clay bar and applying the Zaino.
Alex
P.S. Where can I order Zaino online with a credit card?

I would recommend getting some 3M polishing compound. Apply a small amount on the area affected and buff with a buffer untill the marks are gone. Do not buff in one area too long or the you can burn the paint. Also, if you use a professional grade buffer, don't exceed 1500 rpm. To cool the surface as you're buffing, you could apply some cool water, but not too much.
A harder way to do this is by hand. Apply the compound with an applicator and work it in. It will take a lot longer and may not get all the scuffs out. It all depends on how deep the scuffs are.
