Re: Polished Strut Tower Brace

I love the bare metal look. What material is made from? I'd just be worrieed about rust if it isn't stainless steel or something similar. Maybe you could clear coat it?

Keep up the good work!

Re: Polished Strut Tower Brace

Nice! Might as well polish up that plenum while you have the STB off though, right?

Already done. The first pic was from the guy I bought it from, I didn't have any pics of when it had paint so I used his. This ones here is my old plenum, I have another one installed that I just finished and is polished better, and ported more.

I'm not sure what its made from, hopefully it wont rust. If it does then I guess I'll start over again and just make it better than before.

Anyone know what material it is? I'm thinking its aluminum, since the thats what the 4th gen style is made from.

Is there any special type of clear coat I should get, what would you recommend?

Well its barely starting to rust, kinda hard to tell but it is. I'm going to sand it a bit more and make sure I get every little imperfection out, polish it, then clear coat it. Any tips on clear coating, or just follow the directions?
