i'm in the process of polishing my 91 rs rims, and i'm thinking of painting the inserts the same color of my car. a teal color. do you think that would look ok? or should i just paint them like gray or black? thanks.

 

any opinions???

 

I've seen teal factory cars and it looks good. I had a white 92 with white on the rims and it looked great. If you look around there are pictures of the rims polished without paint, which I think looks great too. But if you're going to paint them, put the same color.

 

Personally, I'd only match the color if it was white, silver, grey, or black. Red, orange, teal rims (even if it's just the highlights), in my opinion, look ugly. But if you like it do it.

 

Yeah I agree with Mike. I don't like them painted at all, thats why I got a car with the alloy rims and not the RS rims. Do what you want though.

i'm not painting the whole rim, just the little cracks where the dirt usually builds up.
