can anyone help me find that tailight cleaning thread
A guy with a TA cleaned up his taillights really nice on a past thread.
I remember looking at it when i was a wee junior member(something like 8 posts ago)
I'm looking to do the same thing or something similar to my camaro tailights
Hopefully you guys know where I can find it... i tried search but I'm not finding anything...
If you find it, we should make it a stickey...it was a really good article and well done! Just wish i can find it!!!!!

i can tell you what worked for me . i was cleaning black tape residue off mine . [ previous owner tried to make grids from R/S tailights with black elct. tape ] tried mineral spirits , no good . glanced at work bench saw a can of BRASSO metal polish . tried it took the residue right off . that area looked so good i did both lights and took out the horizontal black stripe also . one used toothbrush , a roll around stool , a can of brasso , and a six pack is all it took . that was a year ago they still look great . IMO the tail lights look better without the black stripe running through them .

I sanded mine up to 1500 grit and then used 3M super rubbing compound on a polisher with a 8" pad with the buffer set around 1000RPM. Came out great. I think my way is easier than using a small buffing wheel.
