waters spots removal

how do i remove waterspots from my car. I rinsed my car and then took it out for a cruise and the water dried on the hood and left water marks. I washed it today and still the spots are there. What should i use to remove them. My car just got a new paint job too. Is it ruined. The paint job is 1 month old almost. It sucks!

I use driwash stuff, but if you want something inexpensive that works good go to walmart or a autoshop look for meguires quick detail. That should do the trick for ya, spray on wipe off works good on waterspots.

Try a soft polish first (like Meguire's 3-step #2), and if it doesn't help much, move to progressively harsher abrasives. At the most extreme, you can wet-sand it with 1500.

You can remove the waterspots with white vinegar, then wash the car & dry it with a chamois etc.
The waterspots are residue from the minerals in the water, that were left when the water evaporated off the car.
