I have a 1985 Firebird with a 350 crate motor, 350TH trans, P245/60R 15 tires with Americain Racing Wheels, and other upgrades. Anyway, my car now is a faded red with red cloth interior. I was planing on painting my car Candy Apple Red Metallic with a clear coat. I want to put stripes on my car but I'm not sure where. I was thinking of painting white(racing)stripes down the entire center of the car, but I'm not sure how wide and how far apart to put them. Maybe 9" wide and 1" apart? Any pictures or help would help both me and my car.

 

Firbirds jsut don't have the right lines on the hood for stripes IMO. Just go with the Candy apple red, that alone would look sweet. Sometimes solid colors are just the best way to go.

check out the GM Color called Magnetic Red. It is a late model (98-2000) Vette color...looks really good IMO
