pin-stripes

I have an 87 firebird formula with a power buldge hood and I am repainting the hood and didn't know if I should put the pin-stripes back on the hood. What do you guys think?

NO way for the stripes, they look like crap,i hate all types of stripes and decals,i like a clean look,it makes the car look sweet and not cheap.

Definetely a NO-NO. Pin-stripes, neon-colored stickers(any kind of stickers), neon lights, chrome lower door stickers....you get the idea.
Most of these THINGS are from the 80s, when most of 3rd Gens were made. The 80s are gone but our cars are still here. Don't cheapen the look of you car by going "back in time".
You want your car to look like a "virgin" not like a "wh@re". Check out mine.
Goo luck.

I beg to differ. My freind used to have an 87 iroc that she got a custom dark blue paintjob with custom baby blue pinstriping....with just a very simple design on it. I have to say...it looked ****ing sweet...I love my camaro with racing stripes...but hers was definitely one of the nicest third gen paintjobs ive ever seen...i didnt think id like it either...but hers was very very very very cool...ill see if i can get some pictures from her.
