Beautiful car IROC KID. I love the crosslace style wheels on a 3rd Gen Camaro too, and when I saw these, I had to go in debt!!! Mine are SEC Racing Wheels and they are 17 X 9.5 front and 17 X 12 rear. Are yours actually GTA wheels or are they aftermarket???

The wheels are gta style but are aftermarket made by American Racing,i like the look as it matches the car nicely. Those 17 inch cross laced style wheels look great,i think a deep dish wheel always looks good on american muscle. The wheels i like but it is a pain to find center caps for them,i have to search for them this week.

Rare-z,that is a nice ride,i love a hardtop, if i do get another iroc it will be a hardtop as i think the hardtop is better to make as a serious streetcar, the t-top cars seem to have to much body flex, but i think the sfcs should eliminate it,i hope because i think a cage would be the only other option and i dont want to chop up the car, when you get the pics let me know,i always love seeing a freshly painted ride, its art.

i am with you on the hard top. that is why i bought it, i wanted ttops but i loved the new dash, and i had to have a 350, gotta have a good powerplant base. and at the time i didnt know anything specifically about thirdgens, i always paid attention to 4th gens.
but after seeing this one, i just decided i could do without ttops, and i am soo happy it worked out that way. i really dont want a ttop car, and especially for performance.
now on the other hand, i do want a 305TPI Iroc 5spd, or a Z28 that is convt. that is one of my dream cars, and it has to be black or black.. lol..

good luck with the car and i will post so many pics people will hate me!!

I love a black car,i have had a black on black camaro and it was sweet,i just hate the t-tops,its nice for cruising but it sucks cause they leak and the body flex,i cant wait to see your picks,i am sure it will be sweet,i am doing a trans swap so my baby hasn't seen the streets and was stored alll winter so she has been chillin' for about 6+months which sucks,i miss driving it,hopefully tommorow the trans swap will be done and the car back on the road in a few days or so,i have alot of detailing to do.

"IROC KID", YOUR CAR LOOKS SWEET MAN. THE PAINT IS NICE. GLAD IT'S NOT THAT SCHOOL BUS YELLOW I SEE ON THE rustangs - are - us. THE WHEELS SEAL THE DEAL. VERY DIFFERENT! NOW AS FAR AS T TOPS GOES. I GOT THE TEES AND A BLACK CAMARO TO BOOT AND HAVE HAD NO LEAKS OR FLEX EVER(KNOCK ON WOOD). I ACTUALLY LOVE THE TOPS OFF LOOK. TAKE SOME SHOTS OF YOUR CAR WITH THE TOPS OFF AND PUT IT ON YOUR PAGE. THAT'S MY ONLY SUGGESTION. HOWS THE INTERIOR?

I do love the t-tops,but a hardtop is just better to make into a performance streetcar, but nothing beats blasting along at 70 or 80 and the rush of the wind and the smooth sound of a smallblock cruising in OD,lol,as for the interior it is in excellent shape for an 86,it could use a good shampooing but otherwise it is great, drivers side has a small tear in the seat but i have seat covers that match the car as the inside in sandlewood,i plan to redo the interior and the whole car actually, its got a great starting point although,i think i will go with tan 4th gen seats unless i can find someone to do the OE ones for cheap in leather of course.

Oh,i just checked out your car,and i have to say knight rider, its sweet, reminds me of my 87 so much,i had the early 80s vette slot wheels, they looked nice on it and gave the car the same stance as yours, the kinda stance that says "I kick a$$ and take #'s." stance,my car was a maaco job too, they do good work as long as you let them know that you mean business, some people take pride in there work, other places treat it as fast food, people never believe when i say maaco did it,my dad paints and has 25 years of experience and he even says its a nice job. As for the rustang yellow cars you see,i agree they look like crap,it looks cheap,my yellow is one of the few shades of yellow i like,i wasn't too keen on the clor going from black to that, but the car couldn't be passed up,when i saw it last year i knew it was THE ONE.

About the wheels. I have been looking for the cross lace style from aftermarket sources. I tried American Racing web page but did not find any cross lace. Do you guys have any links or dealer locations that would help? I Love the looks of cross lace on a Camaro.

The CSI wheels i hear are decent wheels, the ARE wheels are discontinued, the SEC wheels do look good, maybe someone can help you find them, they really can help a car look like a million bucks.
